2PM fans are missing their favorite leader more than ever. In the midst of their longing, they have released another song to show their love. “2PM’s fans are drawing attention by composing a song desiring the return of Jaebum, who left the group last year. 2PM’s fanclub “Hottest” released their own song “Waiting for You 2” through various portal sites at 2:00PM on the 19th. Regarding to the song, Hottests said “it’s a song that we made with our fellow fans desiring for Jay’s return. “This four-minute song is in a format of Jay answering to Waiting for You, the song which became a hot issue when it was released.”

Hottest fans may finally get the answers they are looking for. 2pm’s official fancafe unveiled an announcement from JYP Entertainment, that 2PM will be holding a conference with their fans on February 27th, presumably for them to discuss the future of the group and the status of departed member Jaebum. With the announcement of a conference to be held between JYP Entertainment representatives, the remaining six men of 2PM, and select members of 2PM’s main community sites, tension has risen between fans and JYPE. The reason behind the meeting is to have an open, candid discussion between people who are very involved and concerned with all things relating to 2PM. On the 22nd of February, a JYPE associate spoke with news company Osen over the phone, This time, fan representatives, 2PM members, and representatives of the company will be participating [in the meeting]. The latest conference was regarding the Wonder Girls, and it was held in private. However, we expect the scale of this conference to be larger in comparison. With the news regarding the Wonder Girls‘ SunMi and HaeLim clarified, JYPE is now trying to clear the air regarding Jaebum, but many fans are not pleased with the principle of the conference. Instead of viewing it as an opportunity to learn the truth, some fans believe the whole purpose of the convention is to create more attention for 2PM. Whether or not the thoughts of these fans are correct, a JYPE representative stated, “This conference will be a place where we will be able to have a heart-to-heart talk about the truth and authenticity of the various rumors that have circled Jaebum’s withdrawal.” The topic of Jaebum has been controversial for quite some time, and many people still debate the accuracy of the released information regarding how and why 2PM’s leader left. There are fans who want to boycott the group to send a message to JYPE, and there are fans who decide it’s best to continue their support for the remaining six members. Hopefully this conference will clear up some matters to placate everyone involved, including all 2PM members, their fans, and the workers at JYP Entertainment.

In regards to Jaebum's withdrawal from the group, 2PM will meet with the fans for a discussion. 2PM's agency, JYP Entertainment posted an announcement on the official fan cafe that "2PM and the agency will meet with the fans to have a discussion meeting." The time, date, or the location has not been decided yet. It seems as this meeting will be a discussion between the members, company representatives, and the fans to talk about the situation about Jaebum's withdrawal. JYP Entertainment stated, "It will be a chance to speak frankly about the rumors and questions that the fans heard and had about the situation." However, the fans are not buying for this "meeting." Major comments were: -"They didn't even listen to us when we were begging for a meeting in September, and now they want to do it after they lost our trust. What's the point of having a discussion about Jaebum without Jaebum?" -"There's no point of a discussion just to calm the public. It has to be all seven 2PM members and JYP himself included in the meeting."

As reported yesterday, JYP Entertainment put up a notice on 2PM’s fan cafe stating that they will be holding a conference with both 2PM and their fans. Apparently this conference will include representatives from prominent 2PM fan sites who will have to apply before admittance. A JYPE representative stated,”This conference will be a place where we will be able to have a heart-to-heart talk about the truth and authenticity of the various rumors that have circled Jaebum’s withdrawal.” However Hottests are currently rejecting the conference, suspecting it is only being organized to improve JYPE’s reputation among fans, and will not contain issues of any substance.

Ahead of the conference with fans to be held this weekend, JYP releases a shocking announcement on member Park JaeBum on its official website on today that Jaebum will not be returning. Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. Last September, 2PM’s member Park Jaebum announced his withdraw from the group and returned to Seattle after the shock of his words he wrote on the internet during his trainee time and we will reveal the course of action henceforth. Though those words from the case that occurred last September did not looked good to everyone, because they were his words during his hard trainee days and written on his personal space the company agreed with Park Jaebum goon’s opinion to take time for self discipline, this does not mean we thought that he would stop all activities in entertainment or forever leave 2pm. At the time the company could have convinced Park Jaebum goon to stay and promote with as a 7 member 2pm and held back his withdrawal. Though it could be considered that parts of Park Jaebum goon’s words were exaggeratedly mistranslated bye netizens it was definite that those words could have hurt many people, in that situation if we were to enthusiastically embrace Park Jaebum goon and promote with the 7 member 2pm this could have made the image of Park Jaebum goon to the public forever negative and so we agreed with his decision. When a celebrity makes a mistake that disappoints the public and they do not apologize for their own mistakes or if the company embraces that celebrity, there have been many cases before when this further changed the views of the public in the negative direction and therefore we thought it would be good to show his willing withdrawal from the group to have time for self discipline. Thankfully enough after Park Jaebum goon’s withdrawal many of the public opinions changed and showed their thoughts to give him another chance.

It has been announced that JYP Entertainment has terminated their contract with Park JaeBum who left 2PM to return to the States last September. On 25th February, JYP Entertainment posted an announcement confirming the truth that they have terminated their contract with JaeBum. Last September, JaeBum was caught in a controversy where he was criticised for the things he wrote on his MySpace page during his trainee days. He returned to the States just 4 days after the case blew up. During that time, fans have engaged in boycott activites to express their disagreement on JaeBum leaving the group, but in fact, JaeBum has been preparing for his comeback to 2PM. But now that his contract with the company has been terminated, the comeback is rendered impossible. Fans who have heard the news commented, “I cannot believe it”. And on various internet forums, comments like “I don’t believe”, “Lies”, “What exactly did he do wrong?” surfaced. And it was also known that some fans have gathered outside the JYP office building in Seoul CheongDamDong at the late hours after the news were released to express their anger on the case. Meanwhile, the conference with fans for 2PM planned on 27th February will be carried out as planned.

Fans are swept in shock after JYP Entertainment released information regarding Jaebum’s contract termination. Fans are stating that this is ‘a groundless rumor’ and that JYP Entertainment is engaging in media play. Fans have fallen into panic mode, causing the official homepage to crash and are heading towards the JYPE building. Fans are rejecting a statement within the announcement that claimed that the members of 2PM agreed to Jaebum’s withdrawal on the 6th of January. “JYPE is just engaging in media play. The rest of the members are wanting Jaebum’s return.” The date of January 6th is said to be a problem because of the following reasons. On the 3rd of February at Seoul’s Gayo Daejun, 2PM had won the bonsang, in which Junho stated in his award speech, “I would like to thank Jaebum hyung for working hard with us.” On the 14th of February, Nichkhun made a statement regarding Jaebum on his Thailand trip saying, “He’s an awesome hyung. I miss him.” Fans are claiming that if the members agreed to Jaebum’s terminations, they would not have said such things. “They had no idea of Jaebum’s withdrawal which is why they said such things. The company knew that the boycotting by fans will effect the income of the company and are throwing him away.”

February 25 was a heartbreaking day for fans of 2PM after JYP Entertainment announced that Park Jaebum, the former leader of the group, will not be rejoining the K-pop boy band due to an alleged personal wrongdoing. Owing to revelation, JYPE said it has terminated its contract with the pop star. The statement was posted on the JYPE website on February 25 and quickly spread like wildfire. Jaebum withdrew from 2PM and went back to the US last September after criticisms mounted concerning the alleged “anti-Korean” comments he made on his MySpace account. Since Jaebum’s withdrawal from 2PM, fans heavily campaigned for his return by staging rallies, signing petitions and distributing flyers. In the statement, JYPE said that it initially decided to let Jaebum return to 2PM. A press conference was supposed to be held third week of February for the announcement. Everything changed on December 22, however, after Jaebum made an urgent phone call to Jung Wook, a JYPE representative, and confessed that he committed a personal wrongdoing back when 2PM was promoting the hit single “Again & Again.” “This problem is bigger than the problem that caused him to withdraw last September, and is a problem that could cause an even bigger public concern,” according to the translated JYPE statement posted on fan forum 2oneday.com. JYPE said they told the remaining six members of 2PM of the news on January 3 and after three days, it alleged that the members agreed that it would be hard for them to work with Jaebum. No one among the six members of 2PM has made any personal statement regarding the JYPE notice. JYPE refused to reveal what Jaebum told the company official, saying that it’s "private." “The company came to a conclusion that Park Jaebum was not fit to be a celebrity that was affiliated with them and decided to terminate the contact with him,” JYPE said.

After the news of Jaebum's permanent withdrawal from 2PM and JYPE, the company and the members held a discussion with fans for approximately four hours. Other than Jaebum and his MySpace incident, he has apparently caused another problem, which cannot be forgiven by 2PM members and JYPE that caused permanent termination of contract. JYPE has stated that no information can be revealed from what has happened in the discussion, but fan accounts of detailed information has been revealed.
