Earlier today a teaser of 2PM’s new song was released and now JYP Entertainment has announced the date for 2PM’s comeback. JYPE told Money Today Star News that 2PM would be releasing a single on April 22nd. 2PM has already completed all preparations necessary for their new song, and will be resuming their promotions as a 6-member group. Now the “new” 2PM will be officially joining top stars like Lee Hyori and Rain on this comeback filled month. It looks like the time to move on has come, with 2PM releasing a new song and joining Wonder Girls on their Wonder World Tour, and their former leader, Jay Park, making headlines with his YouTube videos, Art of Moment performances and his casting in the movie ‘Hype Nation’.

Boy band 2PM's former leader Park Jae-beom has signed on for movie "Hype Nation," according to an official with the film on Wednesday. The official explained that Park signed a contract with the movie's producer Young Lee, agreeing to appear in "Nation" as well as participating in the soundtrack for the movie which is set for filming starting June. Park is expected to fly into Korea for the film since 70 percent of the movie will be shot in Korea. "Nation," about a dance contest between an American dance crew and South Korean dancers, is targeted at a global market with the lines to be relayed in English. The role for the female lead has yet to be set but Lee is said to be in talks with a member from a Korean girl group. Lee had originally cast Korean female singer Son Dambi for the lead role but Son reportedly pulled out of the project after production of the film got delayed. Park quit his band last September after comments he made on his MySpace account before his debut surfaced and stirred nationwide controversy. He was expected to rejoin the group earlier this year but officially parted with JYPE for good in February over "a huge personal wrongdoing." Last month, he was seen participating in a b-boy dance contest in Vancouver, Canada with his dance crew Art of Movement.

After months of being one of the hottest topics in k-pop, it has been confirmed by the officials of the movie project "Hype Nation" that Jaebum (aka Jay Park) will be returning to Korea in June. He has been casted in a main role in the film which will be set 70% in Korea. After returning to the US last September, Jaebum has been anything but quiet. He has been uploading videos on YouTube and even performed at a university event. There's been a lot of speculation over the private reason why JYP Entertainment found it unsuitable to have Jaebum rejoin the group. Regardless of all the media mess, this movie seems to be a potentially big, career-altering break for the young entertainer. Aside from Jaebum, American group B2K is also set to play a role in the movie which will be about b-boys from the east and the west. A Hype Nation official also revealed that different k-pop girl group members are being considered to fill the spot of Jaebum's character's sister.

He eventually left the group, but resurfaced in Seattle as part of the Art of Movement B-Boy Crew and through a variety of covers on YouTube.com. Park’s cover of B.O.B.’s “Nothing On You” has received a staggering 4 million views alone, since being released in March. Since linking with Teddy Riley, Park has completed tracks with Snoop Dogg, Daz, T-Pain, Krayzie Bone and others. Additionally, Park has been tapped to star in Hype Nation, a flick about breakdancers from the East and the West. “I scooped this guy up right away because he is an incredible talent and everybody wants to work with him in the U.S.,” Hype Nation executive producer Jason Lee said. Park will return to Korea this June, where 70% of Hype Nation will be filmed.

R&B hitmaker TEDDY RILEY has recruited hip-hop superstar SNOOP DOGG and singer/rapper T-PAIN to help former Korean boyband member JAY PARK break into the U.S. music charts. Park rose to fame in Asia as part of 2PM, but he quit the group in 2009 and now the American-born singer and breakdancer is looking to make a name for himself Stateside. He's won the backing of former Blackstreet star Riley and the producer has brought a couple of his famous pals onboard to boost Park's solo career. And Riley's support has already helped Park to land a small film role in a movie about breakdancing. Eight months after leaving because of MySpace comments, ex-2PM member Jaebum will return to South Korea. Jaebum will arrive at the Incheon International Airport on May 31 or June 1, with the Hype Nation staff, the Art of Movement dance crew, and his family. With the release of a single, Demon, in America and Korea, Jaebum will return back to his music career around July 10. Jaebum will have a tour with American group B2K in 10 American cities and major Asian cities during the month of December. All of the above stated was confirmed by one of the executive producers of Hype Nation, Jason Lee. He met with SportsKhan in Seoul; in Seoul he went over Jaebum’s comeback plans and let SportsKhan listen to four of Jaebum’s unreleased songs. Jaebum will sing four songs for the Hype Nation OST; all the songs will be released in both Korea and America. One of the songs, Demon, is produced by the same man, Teddy Riley, who produced Michael Jackson’s Dangerous. Jaebum, 23, is appearing in the American film “Hype Nation”, a movie about "b-boys" or "break-dancers" -- a term used to connote street style dancers and is commonly associated with rap and hip-hop. According to 2oneday.com, the international forum for 2PM/2AM fans, Jaebum will be returning to South Korea in June to shoot for the movie. He will be accompanied by his parents as well as members of his Art of Movement b-boy crew for the trip. The report confirmed that Jaebum will be staying in Korea for more than two months as 70 percent of the movie will be filmed there. To hype his official return to show business, people involved in the film are discussing with Jaebum and his parents about holding a press conference. This, supposedly, to finally explain the story behind his hasty departure from Korea September last year at the height of a controversy generated by his alleged "anti-Korean" post on his MySpace page. Fans had been hoping that Jaebum, long silent since, will finally speak about the matter including the alleged “personal mistake” that JYP Entertainment, his former management claimed he did that became the basis for the termination his contract and eventual oust er from 2PM. The report also revealed that Jaebum had recorded four songs for the official soundtrack of "Hype Nation." One of the songs, “Demon”, will be released on July 10 in the American and Korean music markets. The song is produced by famous songwriter Tedd Riley, who co-produced Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” album. Another song, “Fame”, feature famous American rapper Snoop Dogg. After that, his agency JYP Entertainment officially decided to withdraw him from 2PM in February due to issues in his private life, and he has stayed in the USA since then. Therefore the news about his comeback is drawing attention in the Korean entertainment industry. Lee, who came to Korea for preproduction tasks such as casting and visiting the filming location, said, "I emailed Jae Bum, whom I am acquainted with, to deliver the casting offer in February, and Jae Bum readily showed a positive response.
