2010’s going to be a good year for YG Entertainment and fans of the YG family. Check out who’s releasing what and when! Leading the YG pack for 2010 would be Gummy who will be releasing her new mini album “Loveless” on the 30th of April 2010. “Loveless” marks her musical comeback eversince promotions for her previous album “Comfort” took place in March of 2008; more than 2 years ago. She’ll be commencing promotions for her single “Because You Are a Man” in the first week of May. It’s a hip hop infused track, produced and written by none other than YG’s very own homeboy, Teddy who also had a hand in making 2NE1’s Fire, a surefire hit. The first half of 2010 may have been rather quiet but all that is going to change as YG plans to push out new releases, back to back and there’s no stopping them. Although YG’s schedule may seem a little ambitious and tight, fans will certainly be pleased to know that Se7en, who last released his 4th album “Se7olution” back in November of 2006, is in the final stages of preparation for his comeback at the end of May. He’ll be releasing a mini album packed full of new explosive material and as stated by YG representatives to “have a completely different style from his (Se7en’s) past albums“. The third in the lineup of epic YG releases goes to Taeyang of Big Bang who will be releasing his first full album. The digital single “Wedding Dress“, his second solo project, which was released last November was immensely well-received by Koreans and by international Kpop fans alike. The talented vocalist is currently in the process of producing and putting together the pieces of this album. There’s also more to expect from Taeyang as according to YG officials, he will be pursuing a different path from that of the other Big Bang members whom for example have gone to debut in movies and musicals.

Korean R&B singer Gummy topped cable music channel Mnet's singles chart during the week of May 3 to 9 with her recent tune "As a Man." Gummy scored her first win on the chart, making an impressive 13-spot jump from the previous week to beat out former winner Suh Young-eun's "Something Stupid." The latest track by Gummy "As a Man," which was released on April 30, is featured in her first mini-album "Loveless." She recently made a comeback to the local music scene performing her title track and other songs including "Loveless" and "Because of You" on televised music programs over the weekend. New single "Time, Please Stop" by female duo Davichi successfully bowed into second place and "Confession" by Hot Potato climbed up 10 slots to round out the top three singles. Gummy also triumphed in terms of album sales as "Loveless" replaced two-week winner Lee Hyori's fourth full-length record "H.Logic" on the chart. Davichi's new album "Innocence" became the second most-popular record since its release on May 6 followed sequentially by "H.Logic" which fell two positions to place in third.
