Who would’ve guessed that Junsu of 2PM and rookie group DN-A’s Mika were related? It turns out that Junsu’s father and Mika’s mother are first cousins, which means, aside from the fact that both of these talented guys are idol singers, they are also second cousins! In an interview with Sports Korea, Mika shared: ” It’s exciting knowing that I can now meet Junsu hyung on broadcasts as a fellow singer. He gave me a lot of advice while I was a trainee. I want to repay him for all his help by showing my best.” The two also have a physical resemblance to one another: they share similar eye and nose features. And those aren’t their only similarities. Both Junsu and Mika grew up in Daegu, shared the same dream of becoming a singer, and they attended the same academy in Daegu! Mika was always encouraged by Junsu to never give up, even when he felt that he wanted to give up his dream during his difficult trainee days. And even after Junsu already debuted in 2PM, being a good hyung, he always gave singing advice to his second cousin. DN-A’s Mika also mentioned, “The city life [in Seoul] was strange for me. As my trainee period grew longer and longer, I even thought of giving up on becoming a singer. But as I watched Junsu hyung perform with 2PM, I decided to hold onto my dream. Through Junsu hyung I maintained hope that one day I too could be a singer.”
