Korean singer Jung Yong-hwa of idol group CNBLUE has confessed that Japanese actress Ueno Juri is his ideal woman. The singer made the remark during a recent guest appearance on SBS radio show "Choi Hwa-jung's Power Time" where he talked about romance and relationships. "Who is your ideal woman? Seo-hyun's husband Yong-hwa~," asked the show's host Choi Hwa-jung, referring to Jung's current variety show gig "We Got Married" where he plays a make-believe couple with Girls' Generation member Seo-hyun. Jung said in response, "I love Seo-hyun. She has a good personality. But these days I am into watching Japanese drama 'Nodame Cantabile' and I really love Ueno Juri who appears in the show." Other band members also revealed their ideal type of women; Kang Min-hyuk said that he likes a woman with short or long straight hair who looks good wearing a baseball cap, meaning a female celebrity who would wear baseball caps in disguise; Jung-shin described his ideal woman as one with fair skin and who looks great in skinny jeans; Jong-hyun picked Korean actress Son Ye-jin, saying he likes a woman who is funny, easy to talk to and looks good in a white T-shirt and jeans. The members also chose Kang Min-hyuk and Jung Yong-hwa as most likely to have successful romantic relationships with women. In response to the question whether they have more than two women around them that they want to have a relationship with, all the members answered 'yes.'

Korean rock band CNBLUE's leader Jung Yong-hwa is being considered for roles in upcoming dramas, movies and musicals, according to his agency FNC Music on Wednesday. FNC announced in a press release that Jung has been offered five roles each in dramas and musicals, as well as two movie roles. However, Jung is planning on focusing on his music career, promoting their latest release overseas through events in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, China and other countries in the Asia region. "Jung is thinking about making a decision on choosing a drama or movie in the latter half of the year because he wants to focus on his activities overseas right now," an associate from FNC explained. Jung, who gained popularity through his role in SBS hit TV series "Minamishineyo" last year alongside Hallyu stars Jang Keun-suk and Park Shin-hye, is the frontman for the boy band CNBLUE. They recently released their second mini-album "BLUE LOVE" featuring the title track "LOVE" which has topped numerous online and offline music charts since its release in May 19. He is currently appearing as a make-believe couple in MBC's reality show "We Got Married" with Girls' Generation's Seohyun.

Boy band 2AM's Jo Kwon and CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa have been chosen as new emcees for SBS TV's weekly music show "Inkigayo." Korean public broadcaster SBS announced in a press release that the two singers will be replacing 2PM's Taecyeon and Wooyoung, who stepped down as hosts after the July 11 episode, and joining co-host Sulli of girl band f(x). Jo, 20, debuted as the leader of idol group 2AM after being a trainee at agency JYP Entertainment for over seven years. 2AM made their debut in July 2008 with the single "This Song" and gained popularity through K-pop hits such as "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" and "I Did Wrong" earlier this year. Jung, 21, is the leader and main vocalist of Korean indie-band-turned-idol-group CNBLUE, which stands for "Code Name Blue." The group released two singles in Japan before making their debut in Korea last January with the mini-album "Bluetory." Jung had also garnered much attention ahead of making his debut with the band by appearing in the hit TV series "Minamishineyo" (SBS, 2009) alongside Hallyu stars Jang Keun-suk and Park Shin-hye. Jo and Jung will be featured as hosts on "Inkigayo" starting July 19.

Rock band CNBLUE is scheduled to kick off a six-stop Asia tour next month, starting with a concert in Korea on July 31. Four-member Korean band CNBLUE rocked out for fans from near and afar at their first-ever concert yesterday, according to their agency FNC Music on Monday. A press release from FNC announced that the rock band took stage at the AX Hall for their concert titled "Listen to the Blue" on July 31 in front of some 3,000 fans. The boys kicked off the two-hour long concert with the song "Let's Go Crazy" from their second mini-album, followed by "Love Revolution," "Voice," "Tattoo," and "Just Please," while they sang tunes "Love," "Sweet Holiday" and "Love Light" during the second half of the show. Leader and main vocalist Jung Yong-hwa gave an encore performance, singing the song "A Song For a Fool" from the hit SBS series "Minamishineyo," which was originally sung by Park Shin-hye in the drama. CNBLUE, composed of other members Min-hyuk, Jung-shin and Jong-hyun, released two singles in Japan before breaking into the local music scene with their first mini-album "Bluetory." They returned to the music stage on May 19 with their second mini-album "Blue Love.”

Tickets for Korean rock band CNBLUE's Singapore concert have been sold out, according to their agency FNC Music on Tuesday. FNC announced in a press release that tickets for the show to be held on August 21 at the University Cultural Centre Hall, sold out within a minute of going on sale online on Sunday. Singapore will be the second stop of the four-member band's Asia tour which kicked off in Korea on July 31. It will continue on into Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and China until October. CNBLUE (Code Name Blue) made their official debut in Korea on January 14 with their mini-album "Bluetory" featuring their hit single "Alone" which topped various online and offline music charts. They unveiled a second mini-album "Bluelove" on May 19 which fared well in Korea as well several weekly music charts in Taiwan. The boys also released a new Japanese single "The Way" in June and performed at a sold-out live concert in Osaka alongside labelmates FT Island.

A press release from FNC announced that the shows to be held at Hatch in Osaka (September 16), Bottom Line in Nagoya (September 18) and Shibuya-AX in Tokyo (September 20) have sold out. This will be the group's ninth sold-out show in the country since their first performance in October 2009. "We were stunned and extremely happy our concerts sold out," the members of CNBLUE were quoted as saying. After performing in Japan, the four-member band will continue their Asia Tour, which kicked off in Korea on July 31, into Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Four-member rock band CNBLUE has topped two weekly music charts in Taiwan with their mini-album "Bluetory," according to their agency FNC Music on Tuesday. FNC announced in a press release that the group's Korean mini-album "Bluetory" took the No. 1 spot on Taiwan's G-Music and Five Music weekly music chart during the week of August 6 to 12, placing ahead of Super Junior's fourth full-length record "BONAMANA" and SS501's first Japanese single "Kokoro." Super Junior's album has ranked in second on G-Music and third on Five Music while SS501's album is at third and fourth place on the two charts, respectively. In addition, August 14 data from Taiwan's music retailer books.com.tw has shown that while "BONAMANA" ranks first in online album sales, three of CNBLUE's records rank within the top 10 -- their Chinese limited edition "Bluetory" version A (which includes the CD and DVD) in second place, version B (just the album) in No. 4 and the exclusive Chinese release of "Bluelove" at No. 10.
