Being able to do activities in front of a public crowd, he was able to give happiness, but he also had numerous secret conflicts. “To tell you the truth, I had some worries after my debut. I’ve actually liked ‘Black Music’ (Soul Music) since my childhood days and I thought I could turn out to be like my favourite artists. I’ve always dreamed of that but after I debuted in an idol group, I had to be ‘popular’ and do activities with songs that I had never considered singing; so I was confused for a while.” He learned for the first time, that the world could not be as he had hoped. He was sorry to have missed the many musical activities he strived for because of his busy schedule. “I didn’t even have time to cry. The expectations of too many people became a burden I had to carry from the beginning of my debut. We continuously put out albums and still now, we have a lot of work to do. When I did activities as part of Big Bang, the members used to make up for the areas I was lacking in. While doing solo activities, there was a feeling of backpacking.
